Turkish steel producer Çelik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Çemtaş) has awarded Primetals Technologies another order to modernize its bar rolling mill in Bursa. The rolling mill will be equipped with new dividing and handling systems.

AMAG rolling GmbH, an aluminum producer, has awarded Primetals Technologies an order to modernize the block milling machine at its Ranshofen plant in Austria. This involves renewing the electrical and automation equipment as well as replacing some components of the secondary plant equipment and adding some new ones.

To keep pace with growing demand, Jiangsu Jinhui Copper Group signed a contract with Southwire Company, LLC on behalf of subsidiary Yixing Runfeng Copper Co., Ltd. for a third SCR-7000 copper rod mill to be supplied by Primetals Technologies.

In April, Chinese steel producer Shandong Iron and Steel Group Rizhao Co., Ltd. placed an order with Primetals Technologies for the relocation of its 4.3m plate mill line from Jinan to Rizhao. Once relocated, the plate mill will also receive an upgrade.
